I began my jewelry making journey over twenty years ago, it started with a love of things that sparkle and some fishing line. Fast forward through the years, many experiments, classes and much growth in design and skill. Happily, I am still constructing wearable art that more often than not sparkles!
During the day I work at our family’s business renting construction equipment. On my time off I take a break from the dirty big equipment and visit my “girlie side”. I often joke that working to create pretty things keeps my life in balance.
The ocean inspires me, and you can see that in the colors that I use the most. I call them mermaid colors. Like the ebb and flow of the waves, my work is always changing. I strive to always keep changing my designs, and advancing my skills. I love working with dichoic glass because I would not be able to ever make the same piece twice. Only the finest components are used in my jewelry including sterling silver, Swarovski Crystal and genuine sea glass.
I have represented Lauren Alana at my gallery "Maison de l'Art" in downtown Nashua, New Hampshire for several years. Her jewelry has always been a favorite among my customers, they love the exquisite taste and presentation, the workmanship and very reasonable prices. -Monique Sakellarios
“Over the years I have bought Lauren Alana’s jewelry not only for myself but for friends and family. I can always count on excellent workmanship and one-of-a-kind pieces. You can tell a lot of time has gone into not only the workmanship but the design of each piece and I will keep buying her jewelry as long as she keeps making it.” -Jackie B Nashua NH
"I own many pieces of Lauren Alana Fine jewelry and every time I buy or receive a new piece, I am thrilled to be adding to my collection. Each piece is unique, flattering, and draws a lot of compliments. The jeweler, Lauren, is exceptional and incredibly innovated, always coming up with new ideas for her jewelry line." Don't you hate it when you wear a piece of jewelry and someone says "I have that necklace"? It's because we've all gone to the same jewelry parties. When I wear one of Lauren's pieces I only get compliments! -Cathy S. Fairport NY
